This section provides requirements and installation instructions for WebFOCUS Visual Discovery Workbench Analyst Edition (AE).

Ensure that the system where WebFOCUS Visual Discovery Workbench AE is being installed meets the following hardware level requirements:
Note: Systems with low-end, entry-level processors are not recommended.
For larger volumes of data, 4 GB of RAM or higher and a 64-bit operating system is required.
Note: Larger volumes of data in this case can be defined as 2 million rows and 20 columns in one or more tables.
Note: Always use the most recently available drivers for the graphics display processor. To obtain these drives, contact the appropriate vendor.
The amount of RAM required to load a WebFOCUS Visual Discovery Workbench AE project is dependent on your application data and the complexity of the project. In particular, the minimum amount of RAM is determined by:
For example, a project that loads 200 MB of text files with a total of 90 charts might require 1.1 GB to fully open the ADV file and 550 MB to fully open the 40 MB ADVM file.

WebFOCUS Visual Discovery Workbench Analyst Edition (AE) provides a standalone installation. This installation is independent to WebFOCUS Developer Studio, WebFOCUS Client, and the WebFOCUS Reporting Server installations.
The Welcome to the Visual Discovery Workbench AE Setup Wizard dialog opens, as shown in the following image.
The End-User License Agreement dialog box opens, as shown in the following image.
The User Information dialog box opens, as shown in the following image.
The Destination Folder dialog box opens, as shown in the following image.
The Ready to install Visual Discovery Workbench AE dialog box opens, as shown in the following image.
An installation progress indicator is displayed.
When the installation is finished, the Completed the Visual Discovery Workbench AE Setup Wizard is displayed, as shown in the following image.
