What is Responsive Web Design?

Responsive web design is an approach to webpage design, where content is formatted to fit a variety of different window and screen sizes. This allows content to be easily viewed on various window sizes, such as on a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Since responsive pages adapt to fit the size of the screen or window that they inhabit, they are more user friendly and aesthetically pleasing.
