Business Intelligence Portal

The Business Intelligence Portal (BI Portal) is the successor to the Business Intelligence Dashboard. The BI Portal allows you to build complete modern websites.

WebFOCUS Visual Discovery Analyst Edition. Through the WebFOCUS Business Intelligence Portal, you can now link to WebFOCUS Visual Discovery Analyst Edition (AE) Projects. Visual Discovery AE is an integrated extension of WebFOCUS Enterprise Reporting that enables you to create advanced data visualization for executive-level dashboards. Data visualization turns raw data into perceptive images, providing a powerful and dynamic instrument for the discovery and reasoning of quantitative information.

Filtering Reports Using an HTML Composer Form. Within your own portal created through the WebFOCUS Business Intelligence Portal, you can filter reports that were created in any tool, or even by hand, using a form that was built in HTML Composer.

Managed Reporting

Managed Reporting provides a selection of reporting tools that can be used to create and edit reports, manipulate data in existing reports, submit reports for background processing, and view reports while protecting sensitive or confidential information.

Alert Tools. Authorized users can run an Alert test interactively and optionally schedule it to be distributed by ReportCaster.
Alert Assist Application Menu. The Alert Assist Application Menu provides a drop-down list containing the Save, Save As, Run, and Close options. Some of these options are also on the Quick Launch toolbar.
Reporting Objects. The following are enhancements to the Reporting Objects tool for both the browser and Developer Studio.
- The Other component has been split into the Preprocessing Other component and the Postprocessing Other component, allowing the use of custom code before or after the execution of other components.
- The Reports and Graphs or Charts feature launches InfoAssist.

Maintain

Maintain is an application development tool that creates web-based data maintenance applications to be deployed across an enterprise. Using WebFOCUS Maintain and its multi-platform 4GL language, you can easily create, test, and deploy complex business applications that span the Internet, IBM mainframes, midrange servers, and workstations.

Controlling Layers at Run Time Using the SetLayer Command. The SetLayer command allows layers to be set as visible or invisible at run time.
CSSCLASS Property. A new property, CSSCLASS, has been added for most MDE controls. CSSCLASS gets or sets the Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) class, rendered by the web server control, on the client.
Pop-up Calendar for Date Fields. The pop-up calendar for date fields has an option to display datetime at the top of the screen.
BodyRowHeight Property. The BodyRowHeight property, for HTML tables only, allows you to set the height of each row in the HTML table.
