• Selecting only Balanced Funds
  1. In the Fund Type Filter Box uncheck all except Balanced

     

• Filters apply to entire project.
  1. Click on the Risk and Performance Tab and then click on the Heat Map tab to see how your filter has affected these pages.
• Restore All Values
  1. Click on Filters and Reports Tab.
  2. Check the box next to (All) in the Fund Type Filter box.

• Click the Risk and Performance tab.
• Select all items under 3.38% Volatility in the Volatility (%) per 3-Year Performance (%) box by drawing a box around it, as shown in the following image:

• Unselected data is shown in grey, to allow you to keep perspective of your selected data to all data, as shown in the following image:

• Click on the Heat Map tab. Your workspace should resemble the following image:

• Click back on the Risk and Performance Page.
• In the Menu bar, click on Replace, as shown in the following image:

  

  The options under the Replace drop down are:

  1. Add. Adding data to your selected subset.
  2. Intersect. Selects only data that matches current selection and previous selection.
  3. Replace. Replaces your previous selection with current selection.
  4. Subtract. Subtract data from your subset of data.
• For this lab, select Replace.
• Click the Exclude Unselected button, which is the second icon in the menu bar, to isolate your selected data, as shown in the following image:

  

• You can see how many items you have excluded in the Count box.

• Click on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the Bar Chart. The Interaction Control menu is displayed as shown in the following image:

  

• You can use the Drill Up or Drill Down icons in the menu to maneuver through the data.
• Drill down through the Fund Hierarchy to see how you can analyze the data by color.
• Select the funds with the highest Net Value, as shown in the following image:

  

• Change the Filter type from Replace to Intersect. Then click the Exclude Unselected Items button, in the menu bar. Your workspace should resemble the following image:

• You can export your current page into any of the following formats, for distribution:
  1. PDF
  2. Web Document
  3. Word Document
• Click on the corresponding button as shown in the following image:
