Changed Features

WebFOCUS Version 8 has undergone significant architectural and behavioral changes in features. Some WebFOCUS Version 7 features have been removed, replaced, or implemented differently in WebFOCUS Version 8, so it is important to understand the differences in features between WebFOCUS Version 7 and WebFOCUS Version 8. A direct mapping for some features does not exist between WebFOCUS Version 7 and WebFOCUS Version 8. For example, in WebFOCUS Version 7, in Business Intelligence Dashboard, you could have created a role tree that shows the authorized reports for a user. In WebFOCUS Version 8, the role tree option has been removed and similar capabilities are provided by the security authorization model.
