Converting Oracle DDL to Hyperstage
If you have an existing Oracle schema definition, you
should perform the following steps to make it work on Hyperstage:
- Convert MEDIUMTEXT
to VARCHAR (N), where N is
only as large as necessary.
- Convert LONGTEXT
to VARCHAR (N), where N is
only as large as necessary.
- Convert DOUBLE(A,B)
to DECIMAL(A,B).
- INTEGER types may
be converted to BIGINT.
- Convert VARCHAR2/CHAR2
to VARCHAR/CHAR.
Note: These steps are for converting DDL manually without
having to use WebFOCUS Quickcopy or iWay software to migrate data.
