Review the data standards that should have been established from the onset. While data standards do not solve data quality issues, they do help and provide consistency in the data when adhered to. For example, data standards can eliminate case-sensitivity issues, duplicate data, varying representations of similar data, such as zip codes, special characters in a field, and so on.
