This documentation describes the WebFOCUS Business Intelligence Dashboard, which enables the creation of powerful EIS and decision-support applications that deliver easy access to the information that users need, regardless of hardware platforms, database structures, or application programs. It is intended for customers who wish to create a customized user interface to access WebFOCUS Managed Reporting.

Introducing Dashboard

Describes Dashboard, which automatically connects you to WebFOCUS and WebFOCUS Managed Reporting. From Dashboard you can select a domain, use the items (reports, charts, Reporting Objects, or URLs) in the tree and view the status of a deferred report, search content, access reporting tools (InfoAssist), schedule reports with ReportCaster, access the Report Library, personalize content blocks, and much more.

Describes the domain folder for Managed Reporting.

Managing Dashboard

Describes how the Managed Reporting Administrators control what users can access in the General Public view, the Custom Public view, and in Group views. This includes the domains they can view and certain functionality, such as the Content Search.

Creating Public and Group Views

Describes how to create and manage public views (general and custom) and group views from the Public Views and Group Views windows in the View Builder. From the Public and Group Views windows you can add, remove, edit, or copy a public or group view.

Customizing the Appearance of Dashboard

Describes how to customize the Dashboard by choosing colors, adding a logo, selecting the position of the tree and banner, and more.

Describes how to create content blocks, which display when you open Dashboard. Content blocks can contain launched reports, links to reports, or links to Internet resources.

Separates mutually exclusive choices in syntax. Type one of them, not the symbol.
