Format: PPTX TEMPLATE (.pptx, which is a PowerPoint
output file and .pptm, which is a PowerPoint macro-enabled output
file)
Description: Scheduled output opens within Excel 2007
or 2010.
Suggested Uses: Email, Report
Library.
Considerations:
- The default file extension for the PPTX TEMPLATE format
is .pptx. If the template used in the procedure is a macro-enabled
template, you must manually change the extension to .pptm, in order
for the output file to open correctly.
- Bursting is not supported.
- The scheduled procedure must contain a PCHOLD statement, such
as the following:
ON TABLE PCHOLD [AS name] FORMAT PPTX TEMPLATE templatename SLIDENUMBER n
- When scheduling a report to be distributed in this format, ensure
that either the FEX or the ReportCaster configuration setting, Excel
server URL, specifies the application server that will
zip the Excel, PowerPoint 2007, or PowerPoint 2010 file components
for distribution.
Note: Specifying the Excel server URL
(EXCELSERVURL) value in the procedure (.fex) that is scheduled will
override the value specified in the ReportCaster Configuration.
