Creating Public and Group Views

Topics:

A public view allows users to view information in Dashboard without entering login information. Login information for the Public user is managed in the Security Center and WebFOCUS Administration Console. For details, see Customizing the Appearance of Dashboard.

There are two types of public views, general and custom. The general public view is the default public view and is intended for a wide variety of audiences. Custom public views contain detailed information that is relevant to more tree-specific groups.

Group views are secure views that can deliver information to a specific group of users.

You create and manage public views (general and custom) and group views from the Public Views and Group Views windows in the View Builder. From these windows, you can add, remove, edit, or copy a public or group view. After you create a public or group view, content needs to be added. For details, see Creating Dashboard Content.
