The following are known issues in installation and configuration of WebFOCUS:

• On some 64-bit Windows machines, the Derby service for WebFOCUS 8, with a 32-bit Java configuration (version 1.7x), fails to start.

  As a workaround:

  1. Copy msvcr100.dll from <JAVA_HOME>(32 bit)\bin to <DERBY_HOME>\bin.
  2. Start Derby.
  3. Manually create the repository tables.
  4. Start the Distribution Server.
• WebFOCUS Release 8.0 Version 05 is packaged with a newer version of the jackson-all-1.9.11.jar file, which includes updated classes. To avoid conflicts with the current version of the jackson-all-1.9.11.jar that is included and used by IBM WebSphere Application Server Version 8.0 and 8.5, you must define a container-wide shared library that can be used by deployed WebFOCUS applications. • When installing on iSeries, an incorrect value for the IBI_Repos_DB_URL parameter is written to the webconfig.xml file. The correct value is:

  <parm-name>IBI_Repos_DB_URL</parm-name>
  <param-value>jdbc:as400://{system_name}/{db_name} </param-name> 

  where:

  system_name

  Is the system hosting the database.

  db_name

  Is the database used for the WebFOCUS repository.
